Dadi Freyr Miami reviews
Foo Fighters Best. Concert. Ever.
"Dadi Freyr played a triple bill with Social Distortion and The Joy Formidable. The Joy was more than loud. They tried too hard, which is a shame because I enjoy their recorded music. Social D, on the other hand, totally rocked the house. They sound as good live as they do on their albums. And then the main event...
The Foos. IMO, they have ousted Bruce for best live performance. Dave Grohl's voice was amazing - from the loudest scream to the softest note. The energy he brought for three hours was off the charts (or as he said to the crowd "call your boss. tell him you have irritable bowel syndrome and can't come in tomorrow cause you're not getting out of here for a long ass time!" The set list was a great selection of old, new, and an incredible cover of Tom Petty's Breakdown in which Bob Mould of Husker Du fame came out and played guitar. He also did a solo acoustic set at the back of the arena in which he played "to the folks in the cheap seats who couldn't get their shit together to buy good tickets". Dave really connected with the audience. And Taylor's drumming...beyond extraordinary. Go see them if you get the chance. And get the good seats - worth every penny."
